Edovo: Make BIG Talk – ( March2025)

This was an introduction about a social experiment regarding human behavior. The prospective was that we naturally just go through life instead of progressing through it. What I learned from this course was to ask myself deeper-more meaningful questions about my life, the direction I want to take my life, and also setting the proper goals/steps in place to achieve them. This created tremendous momentum for me on my mindset while being held pre-trial. It allowed me an opportunity to self reflect which was perfect timing.

EDOVO: Make BIG Talk phase 2 (March2025)

Part two was taking the concepts further by elaborating on how to have deep talks with others such as family of friends. What this reminded me of was how surface we can naturally be with one another by not probing the proper questions to develop deeper conversations. I discovered various approaches/skills that aids in creating more meaningful conversations.

EDOVO: Thinking For Future (April 2025)

So far this has been my favorite course…again it featured mental health therapist Jen Luther, but also added Dr Paula Smith’s expertise. They explained the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and our behavior that follows them. It was a great reminder of how important our thoughts truly effect everything thereafter. For example if my thoughts are poor then my feelings will respond poorly which obviously creates poor reactions to a given situation. We identified our personal values as one activity suggested. I learned that if our valves are aligned then so will our thoughts be as well. In addition, we learned various coping skills for emotional control plus how to deal with and handle conflict. I was given different/similar scenarios as the guys in the video lesson and had to explain how I might handle myself. The lesson also gave opportunity to share a time I experienced conflict and examined how it made me feel, think, and react. By the end of the lesson the instructors equipped me with ‘New’; thinking around the way I will approach, communicate and conduct myself in situations.
