Week In Review:
Walking: While my goal was to do 45 minute walking sessions, each one of my sessions has been at least 50 minutes. Didn’t feel bad about the extra minutes. In fact, felt good. New goal is 50 minutes per session.
Fasting: As you may recall, I set a goal for the week on only eating the chow hall food on my feeding days with no snacks. While I did well for most of the week, Thursday was a bit challenging. It was a feeding day, but it was also commissary day. While I focused most of my purchase on healthier items (peanuts, cashews, almonds, etc), one item I just couldn’t do without was Blue Bell Pistachio & Almond ice cream.
Given that we have no way to refrigerate ice cream and it might not be available during the next commissary purchase in 2 weeks, I bought and ate a pint. I also opened a bag of peanuts. As I’m sure many of you can attest, once you eat one handful, you just can’t stop. I ended up eating the whole bag.
Otherwise, I stuck to the plan as I mentioned last week.
Overall Grade: B to B+ (I’m a hard grader)
Week 5 Forecast:
1. Eat chow hall food on feeding days.
2. Minimize carbs served: Rice, apple sauce, bread, pasta, spaghetti, and muffins/pastries
3. Eat healthy snacks to supplement diet.
