I’ve been doing a lot of laundry so I figured it was a good time to practice mindfulness. I’m getting a lot better at associating emotions with physical sensations. Taking the power from them. Knowing they only last for a period of time. Then they pass. All feelings pass. Even good ones. They are just part of life and I am just living the experiences as they come and go. I know if I have a craving I can practice urge surfing. The craving only lasts a couple of minutes and then passes. It’s interesting. And curiosity helps. Why am I having this craving? What happened to trigger it? What memory did it bring up? Now I’m off to college again. Another positively productive day.
