It is rare for me to have in-person visits, and I am so grateful to have them. Being able to hug, cry, laugh, and physically do anything with family is a privilege. It is a high, honestly, the good motivating kind. Once you walk out those doors though, and feel the separation again, it’s depressing. Reality check back to prison. Holding these visits near and dear to my heart is my motivation to keep striving to become my best self.
