I believe shifting focus from merely serving time to actively preparing for future success is crucial. By making small choices daily that are geared toward success and positive reintigration to society it lowers my chance of recividism. This changes my life by allowing me to work toward a steady income which in turn leads to an overall better life for my family and I. My old way of thinking is what led me to my current position in life. Although I still have almost a decade until my projected release date, switching focus now sets me up for a bright future.
