Purpose:
My normal weekday is, I get up brush my teeth make a cup of coffee, make my bed and go watch CNN for an hour and then the Breakfast Club on BET and today Dr. Cornell West was a guest on the show and hearing him set a blaze of an already kindling flame in me. He is running for President but not for what most might think and that is to become the President of the United States. He is doing it to effect real change. In my 45 years on this planet, I have never seen what I am experiencing, or maybe I was too young or ignorant to recognize it. Today the whole country is split and both sides are confused as to what is best and politics are ruining people’s lives. It is time to stop choosing sides and start doing what is right and this is where Dr. West comes into play.
For the past 3 years since the beginning of the Pandemic here in America dealing with Covid, I have been tuned into government and politics and how those things or entities work together and directly affect my life. So I read the newspapers now and I watch the various new channels and I say to myself I am beginning to see the why.
People are scared and they will turn any were that says it will protect them and when they don’t get the protection that was promised they turn to the next. It is time to learn to protect oneself and this is with Knowledge and stop leaving it to someone else to learn for me and make my choices for me. This is what freedom looks like, being able to make choices for myself this is what success looks like.
