The ways I am using time inside to prepare for success outside are programming, as much as possible, being open-minded and doing all the programming that is offered to me including the hobby/craft classes as well. Another way I am preparing for success is working at the prison factory, having worked there almost 2 years now I have gained new skills now being able to sew and to problem solve to fix the machine if it messes up, I have also learned to surge which is another machine in the sewing world, I have also been in leadership over a department of 28 women, and most recently I have joined the quality team which is the highest paid as well being a grade 1. Other ways I am preparing myself are reading alot and gaining as much knowledge as I can. Joining in this prison professor’s group has taught me alot. I am also keeping daily diaries or journals and am thinking about writing a book about my experience on my ten year sentence.
