Journal Entry

Everyday I do something that I think is beneficial to myself no matter what. for the most part around seven in the morning after the breakfast meal of bran cereal and milk, I do a personalized workout to start the day no matter if it’s rain or shine. I begin with a warm-up I learned after I graduated and begin studying martial arts. It’s called dynamic exercise. starting from the head and working all the way down to my calves doing reps with each part of my body one at a time, when I get to my core I include qi gong breathing. then I do tai chi. I learned tai chi through books in prison and by practicing every day have discovered many things about how the body needs balance and how certain muscles count on each other in order to function to the best of their abilities. then to finish my workout I mostly do shoulder strength exercises with a light weight and include knee raises or body squats during the rest period between sets. by the time I am done, I am usually drenched in sweat and fully awake to start the day. I also believe that any impurities I might have in my body have been pushed out of my pores during the workout so I can begin my day with a fairly pure body. This is how I choose to start every day for the rest of my life because then I can say I did something beneficial for myself if I don’t do anything else.
