I find it disturbing that it has been a full year since I have been transferred here to the USP Thomson facility in Illinois and the staff still constantly violate BOP policy in an attempt to aggravate us inmates. I believe it is an attempt to push us to actions that would put the facility on lockdown to they can receive the higher hazard pay they no longer get now that this place is a low-security prison. they fail to realize that we will never as a whole jeopardize our freedom no matter what they do to us, no matter what privileges they take from us, no matter what inane rules they continue to press on us to follow that have no intelligent meaning. all of us inmates here have programmed at other prisons, stayed out of trouble, and followed all rules and regulations to come to a low-security prison and to put the proverbial knee on our neck is totally in violation our basic human rights. I only hope one day they will tire of mistreating us here in Illinois. this is something the public never knows about and is suppressed by the officials who try to push the image that this place is one that we can program with FSA classes to get out early. but their actions contradict their promise to us. where is the reward of coming to a low-security prison when this place has more rules and is more strict than the most violent USP?
