This book was recommended to me by one of the instructors for the Personal Growth class.
Raw Law for Prisoners is a book that is an instructional manual that I recommend for prisoners that are currently incarcerated.
This book provides information and instructions on what your rights are and if they are being violated, how you can take actions to resolve them.
This book is a clear and concise guide for prisoners and their advocates that will walk them through the civil rights laws that are guaranteed to all Americans.
I read through this book and it made me sad to see some of the ways in which fellow human beings treat one another in a system that is designed to CORRECT. Correctional Institutions are not in that business anymore. There is more abuse and confusion in the prison system nowadays than ever before.
If you feel that your rights have been violated, you should not lash out at guards or correctional officers, that will not get you anywhere, actually that will make things really bad for you. You should instead defend yourself successfully by using the same legal system that has you in their grips, you can get the power of the courts on your side, if you keep a cool head and follow the rules.
I learned a lot and I especially liked the conclusion in chapter 9 of this book, there was so much truth in the closing address from the author. I enjoyed reading that part as well. It was sad, but true and it needed to be written, read, and passed on.
This book was very enlightening and I highly recommend this read.
Thank you,
