The most recent book I read was entitled “No One is Unemployable”. This book is structured primarily like an outline giving structure on how to master job prospecting and interviewing. However, it’s not just about getting a job. It’s about keeping a job. Ironically, in that book, one paragraph stood out where it said [most employers prioritize attitude above all]. That paraphrase stuck with me and I made an announcement during the RDAP morning meeting to encourage others to attend the mock job interview and read the library resources. RDAP focuses on positive attitudes and the connection is that RDAP isn’t just about staying clean. It’s something that could change the standard of living upon release.
