My name is Vincent Taffe, I am 31 years old, and I am 5 years into a 15-year sentence. While I’m a way into my journey by time, I spent a lot of my time so far making poor decisions and following the path of least resistance – which tends to be the path to perdition as well. Despite coming from a strong family with plenty of opportunities for good throughout my life, I allowed trauma to inform my decisions and worldview. At this point, I’m in the first stage of formulating my goals and desires for my future and identifying the steps that I’ll need to take to reach those goals. I’m a firm believer that no matter how hard things get, no matter how dark the situation, with prayer and perseverance, anything can be overcome.
