I am a 53 yr. old black female and I am currently serving a 235 (19yrs. 7mos.) for being a felon in possession of a firearm. I have served 6yrs of that sentence thus far. I have two adult children in which my daughter was just murdered in January 2024 by her boyfriend and a son. I also have 8 small grandbabies in which are my world and I am fighting for justice for them at this time.
My goal upon release is to raise sobriety houses in memory of my daughter, (Shaniya’s House). She was a substance user at the time of her death. I too, was an ongoing user of cocaine before my incarceration, and this is why I am fueled to help others.
I am a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and a soldier for Him. I have yet to create a journal to send nor have I begun to write book reports. However, after reading your books this is my on my priority list of goals and my release plan as well. I have created a business plan for ” Shaniya’s Houses” and this being part of my release plans.
