My name is April Rose Seiber. I am currently a 32 year old Federal Adult In Custody being housed in FCI Aliceville. If you Google my name a lengthy history of arrest (and various unflattering mugshots) appear. Not all the information provided is accurate, yet most is. I have struggled with my mental health and substance abuse since I was a minor. After my latest arrest I have been forced to understand how deeply my actions impact others. I lost my friend Bobby to overdose, my Fiancee Amanda to intentional overdose, and her 19 year old daughter Nevaeh to overdose all within 7 months. Then, two weeks later I was sentenced to 160 months in Federal prison for Possession of Meth with intent to distribute. All my life I was blind to the fact my addiction harmed anyone but myself. I spent several months in a deep depression after my arrival to the FCI Aliceville facility in Oct. 2023. After meeting positive people, talking with psychology, and expanding my spiritual horizons I have began to diligently work on myself. I have already completed 15 various programs/ courses. I am currently enrolled in 3 other classes I’m still working on and I do self-study workbooks to better myself. My current goals are to take the 18 month Life Connection Program then make it to a camp facility to take the RDAP drug program. I am also searching for a college that will accept FAFSA grants from incarcerated people. I am grateful for this time I have to work on myself and plan to share my story to help prevent tragedies like the ones of my lost loved ones. I hope people will one day learn from my mistakes, but also see my progress and changes I have made in my life.
