My name is Antwan Henry, I was born in Evansville, Indiana to a single mother. I was the oldest of my mothers children of 4. My mom raised us in a Christian environment and we attended church regularly. By the time I was 6 years old, I met my real father who lived in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Up until that point, I thought my step father was my real father, imagine the shock! from then on I was shuffled back and forth from Indiana to Michigan most of the time against my will one way or another. During these years my dad was using drugs real heavy with my uncle who was just released from prison in Indiana who came to stay with us in Michigan. So I was exposed to drugs at an early age before I even knew what they were. During my high school years, I witnessed my dad sale a lot of our property to obtain more drugs. he sold a riding lawn mower, a boat that we had to go fishing in, I can remember asking my dad one day when I seen him taking the boat out of the garage for what was the last time, I said dad, can I go fishing with you? He replied, No! Get back in the house or go do something. Needless to say, when he returned home later that evening, their was no boat, but none of us dared ask him what happened to the boat! Anyway, fast-forward to high school, I went my freshman year in Michigan, then I went back to Evansville for the next year of school. During my south more year, I was kicked out of school and ended up going to Boys School in Plainfield, Indiana. I would end up doing two different terms in Boys school, the first time was 3 months then I was returned because of failure to adjust. The second time was for 6 months. I had a blast at boys school, I met new friends that were not where I was from, I started smoking cigarettes their, and I got my first tattoo their, SOLO on my right upper arm. They gave me that name because I wasn’t a groupie and I wouldn’t join their gang. I ended up going on to be a junior in high school, but that didn’t last long because I was introduced to soling drugs, so I quit school for good, and started an adult life of crime. I was also introduced to snorting cocaine in the year of 1992. I would use a little more often then I sold the drugs. Fastforward a little, My whole adult life has been spent in prison. I was convicted of 3 separate Robberies on 3 separate occasions dating back to 1993, one in 1997, and another one in 2009.All of which were due to an addiction I had to cocaine and being in denial of. I committed these Robberies with the sole purpose of getting currency to support my addiction. I was horrible at dealing drugs because I often used more then I sold, so in my addicted state of mind, I thought it would be easier to just Rob and steal to support my habit. Boy was I wrong! Those Robberies led to me serving 3 consecutive prison terms. The first one got me 6 years to do 3, the second one got me 20 years with 10 suspended 6 in prison and 4 on work release, and the third one got me 8 to do 4 for the Robbery and the habitual enhancement with an additional 7 years for a total of 15 years to do 7 and a half. Addiction is such a cunning enemy and I thought I had lost the power to do anything about it at the time. However, I was dealing with Insanity, thinking I could simply continue doing the came thing over and over but get a different result the next time. Talk about being fried out of your mind! During my years in the wilderness running around Torri zing the community trying to satisfy my craving for cocaine, I never set out, nor did I ever hurt anyone physically, but the mental and phycological scares goes beyond the surface and are far worse, as I’ve learned. In all honesty, IWars just as scared if not more then the victims, all I wanted was to scare them into giving me the money so I could flee and escape my reality and get high! I was released from prison in 2015 from the last Robbery I committed in 2009. I violated a couple of times, and was returned to prison for a short period of time for failing urine screens, testing positive for cocaine. I was finally released in 2021. My current charge and conviction is for Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine! I had made a vow to myself during my last prison bid that I wasn’t gonna be doing anymore Robberies. Still stuck in my Insanity way of thinking and dealing with life. I ended up receiving 156 months which is 13 years. As of the date of this Bio, I’ve been locked up for 27 months at a medium facility in Salters, SC. Sincerely, Antwan Henry
