During my time of incarceration. I went through random phases that caused me to question many faith. A History of God attracted me because I always wondered the origin of GOD and religion. Karen Armstrong does a unique deep exploration through the history of GOD.
This was not as great of a read as I anticipated although I did learn a great amount of information about the History of GOD. Karen Armstrong did an excellent job articulatingthe wisdom of her findings. I also found it interesting that although seemingly different the Judaism, Christianity, and Islam religions do align on the acknowledgement of GOD. They all actually worship the same one GOD, but have different approaches.
and different prophet narratives to reach the same or similar faith.
A History of God might not necessarily contribute to my success upon release, however it does serve a direct connection towards my faith in GOD. So anytime I feel low on faith I will recall the fact that even throughout history GOD has revealed himself across various situations even with people of different religions than me.
